My new favourite website is daytrotter.com
It's basically an entire website dedicated to giving people access to free music by new and unknown bands - and just some really cool, famous, generous ones too. When bands are on tour, they can go to the Daytrotter studios and record around four songs, which are then uploaded to the site and available for free download. There are people like Death Cab For Cutie and Tilly And The Wall, as well as relative unknowns like OFFICE, Film School and The Octopus Project.
It's brilliant! Not only are there hundreds of awesome new bands that I'd never heard of before, but there's also access to unreleased tracks by some of my favourite bands, as well as a blog about up and coming artists and articles about each and every band and singer featured on the site.
