I was at a ceilidh last night which was great fun. My dad told me I couldn't go but I snuck out and went anyway. I though I'd get hell for it but I just got told not to do it again haha! Tomorrow's the last day of term before easter. I can't wait 'til the holidays. Teachers are getting a bit manic trying to finish courses before final exams start in 5 weeks, and it's all getting a bit rubbish, to be honest. My exchange partner Camille is coming to stay with me next Saturday, for two weeks, from France. I can't wait, I've only ever talked to her through emails and msn, so it'll be great to finally meet her. I'm also greatly anticipating long days on the beach with friends and some other exciting events, here's hoping!
It was my birthday last Thursday (: I'm sixteen now, which means I can legally apply for a license to drive a tractor and/or moped and/or motorbike (below 50cc). To be honest, the first one sounds the most fun ;) I got lots of looovely gifts, of which I shall post pictures soon... maybe tomorrow or Wednesday. Had some friends round on Saturday for a party. Pictures of that coming soon too.
It's funny how life can change around you... There are people you think will love you for years to come, and suddenly it's all gone... Life sucks sometimes.
I have fallen in love with mixtapes. Now that we're living in this world, surrounded by high-tech stuff you can only get with money, I think people have forgotten their sentimental values. Mixtapes are amazing - they show someone just how much you care because they really do take quite a bit of time and effort and thought. Of course, you need to make sure the person you're giving it to still owns a tape player...
I'm still on study leave, but my exams are now officially over (: The last one (graphics, which I'm positive I've completely bummed) was yesterday afternoon. Today I wandered down to school (it's in the same town I live in...) and met a bunch of people. We spent like an hour running around outside playing What's The Time Mr. Wolf? It was so much fun! We've decided we're going to start having regular games at lunchtimes.
Here is a picture of Meryl Streep, because she's amazing;
It snowed again today. It's pretty much melted now, though. Tbh, I'm glad. I just want the cold weather to go away now... I want it to be summer.
It's my sixteenth birthday a week tomorrow. I went shopping with my dad at the weekend and we picked out my present. It's a ceramic bangle, made by a local artist. It's beautiful... I love it! Can't wait to start wearing it.
